Classes
What class do I start with?
Pilates Reformer
We recommend starting with a Gentles, Essentials or Stretch class if you are new to Pilates or just getting back into a workout routine. These classes are slower paced and allow you to learn the terminology and get comfortable with the reformer. We recommend sticking with these classes until you are confident to progress into our Essentials class or to our more challenging classes.
Yoga
We recommend starting with a Slow Flow or Beginner class if new to Yoga. This is a flow class that moves a little more slowly and holds poses for a little longer. Because of the slower pace, some find these classes more accessible than our Vinyasa Flow classes.
Barre
We recommend starting with our Barre Basics class if brand new to taking a barre class. This class is just as described, basics. Here you will learn the terminology and how to hold each position properly while still feeling the burn of a great workout.
How do I book a class?
To ensure a seamless booking experience, Inner Balance uses the MINDBODY online booking system. You can download our FREE Inner Balance Studio App, for hassle-free class bookings, rescheduling, and managing your account on the go.
** Please make sure that your pop-up blocker is turned off when scheduling for classes online. **
What do I need to know for my first class?
For first-timers, we kindly ask you to arrive 10 minutes early to familiarize yourself with our studio. Our front desk staff will give you a tour of the studio, address any questions, and ensure you feel comfortably prepared and ready.
If you arrive 5 minutes after a class begins, you will be asked to attend another class either that same day or on another day.
What do I need to bring?
How many people are in each class?
At IB, we believe in personalized attention, which is why we limit our class sizes to a maximum of 6 clients for our reformer classes and 8 clients for yoga/barre classes. This intimate setting ensures our instructors can closely assist each individual, providing a tailored and focused experience that caters to everyone's skill level.
Cancellation Policy
What if my class is cancelled?
Classes at IB require a minimum of 2 participants to proceed. In the event of a cancellation, which may occur up to 2-3 hours before the class start time, we will notify you via text or email. This policy helps us manage our schedule efficiently while minimizing inconvenience to our clients.
What if I’m on a waitlist?
Our waitlists move quickly. So you'll be notified via text or email if you’ve been added to a class. Please confirm your attendance or cancel as soon as possible to ensure the spot can be offered to others if needed.
Please note: if you're moved from the waitlist to a class, our system automatically assumes you'll attend. Failing to respond or not showing up will result in you forfeiting your session.
I am pregnant, can I attend classes?
You can attend group classes up until 16 weeks, after that point we can offer private sessions. If you are a regular member at Inner Balance please email us for more information innerbalancepiyo@yahoo.com.
Can I still do Pilates/Yoga/Barre if I have an injury?
The suitability of Pilates/Yoga or Barre depends on your injury's severity and recovery progress. While we can often adapt exercises in our group classes to accommodate different needs, some situations may require private sessions for a more tailored approach. To discuss your specific circumstances and determine the best option, please email us at innerbalancepiyo@yahoo.com.
How old do I have to be?
You must be 16 years or over to attend our group classes. We understand there can be expectations, please contact us directly to further discuss any class for your teen.
What facilities do you offer?
We provide complimentary towels, drinking water, and have a small changing facility in the studio. We do not offer showering facilities.
What to expect:
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24-hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment if credit card is not on file.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, it may be determined if there is enough time remaining to start a session. Regardless of the length of the session actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session.
Gift Certificates
If you are scheduling a session with a gift certificate, please inform your therapist before your session. This allows them to confirm the type of session purchased.
*All gift certificates expire 6 months from their date of purchase.*
