At Inner Balance, our logo is inspired by the Zen circle—a symbol of enlightenment, transformation and finding balance. That meaning has always felt fitting for what we hope people experience when they walk through our doors.
But for me, Inner Balance represents something even more personal. It’s a place where a passion for movement can be discovered, where we can continue learning about our bodies, and where everyone has the opportunity to explore what they are capable of.
My own connection with Pilates began more than two decades ago.
After a knee injury from running track in high school continued to impact me, Pilates became an important part of my rehabilitation. What began as a way to help my body heal eventually became something much bigger. I discovered how powerful intentional movement could be—not only for recovery, but for strength, confidence and overall well-being.
My curiosity about the human body actually began long before Inner Balance. I worked as an EMT and later as an Injury Specialist for an insurance company before pursuing a career as a Therapeutic Massage Therapist. I became certified in massage therapy in 2003 and spent the next 20 years building a successful practice.
Along the way, I wanted to understand even more about how the body moves, heals and adapts. That curiosity led me to pursue education and certifications in Pilates and fitness—and ultimately helped shape that massage practice into what we now know as Inner Balance.
Today, that same curiosity continues to guide me.
Inner Balance has become much more than a place to work out. We’ve created a studio centered around thoughtful movement, highly educated instruction, connection and an experience that feels personal.
Whether you're beginning Pilates for the first time, returning to movement after an injury, looking to become stronger, or simply wanting to continue moving well as you age, there is a place for you here.
More than anything, I want Inner Balance to be a place you look forward to coming to—a community where you feel welcomed, challenged, supported and inspired.
Come for the movement. Stay for the experience.
I look forward to welcoming you to Inner Balance and being part of your journey.
Warmly,
Heide
