FASCIA YOGA
Fascia have always been a part of the body. These connective tissue structures envelop and permeate almost every structure in the body. They penetrate and surround muscles, blood vessels, nerve pathways and bones, supporting the organs.
The essential difference between fascia and traditional yoga is the intention involved with its practice. In fascia yoga, the focus is on the connective tissue (the fasciae), whereas traditional yoga focusses primarily on energetic, physical and psychological effects.
Fascia yoga requires specific body positions (asanas) and movement sequences (vinyasa) that are particularly beneficial for the fascia network.

DEEP STRETCH
In a yin yoga or deep stretch class, you can expect to have an almost meditative experience and will leave feeling relaxed and renewed. Class usually consists of several long-held floor poses. We release all tension in the body as we let gravity do the work for us; getting deep into connective tissues and muscles. Poses are held anywhere from 2-7 minutes. This 75-minute class will end in a short 61-point body sensing guided meditation before our final relaxation.
